A Day  to Remember

March 19, 2003

Dear Father, be with us on this day,
Watch over our troops as they prepare for battle.
Be with them, watch over and keep them safe.
Be with their families who they have left behind
Give them the hope and courage they will need in the coming days
Be with our great President, Father, he did what he had to do.
Give him the knowledge and strength he needs to carry him through.
Be with the innocent victims in Iraq, the families, and children
and also the pets.
Watch over them Lord, keep them out of harms way.
Help them to know we are not at war with them but we are there
so that they may be free to worship and live the life you want for them.
Be with their military, help them to see they too can be free 
and that they need to lay down their arms to help to end the war.
Let it be that there is little blood shed and that families
will not be lost,
That people can work together to bring this to an early end 
and that we can again all be free.
Be with the Americans, give them courage and strength.
Help them to remember to love their neighbor as you have
taught them to do.
Help them to become as one, to stand by each other, to care
and to love.
Be with us all Dear Father, America, Iraq, other countries
Teach us to love each other and that there is a God who loves us all.
Forgive those who hate, who want to control.
Take charge of this war Lord, for you are in control.
