Angels

I've Never Seen An Angel

I've never seen an angel,
And yet I know they're there
Watching over God's children
While they are unaware.

Because we cannot see them,
It's harder to believe
So we often take for granted
The blessings we receive.

Angels bring us peace and comfort
And messages from God,
And yet they leave no footprints
Upon the earthly sod.

I've often had the feeling
That I was not alone,
And the feeling gave me courage
To confront the unknown.

I believe they're always waiting
To answer someone's prayer....
I've never seen an angel,
And yet I know they're there!

The Caress of Angels' Wings
Begin each day with meditation;
In God all your fears confide.
His greatest forces come to greet us
When we lay the world aside.

We must keep our hearts attuned,
Though our souls are in repose.
Angels' wings drift very softly,
Like petals from a velvet rose.

Be aware of holy messengers,
Or you may fail to recognize
That often answers to our prayers
Arrive by angels in disguise.

After prayer, when fears have flown
Do you remember unusual things -
A celestial whisper in your ear,
Or the gentle caress of angels' wings?

Heavenly Angels

Heavenly angels sang the song
Of "Peace, good will to men,"
Announcing to the shepherds
Christ was born in Bethlehem.
The shepherds rose and left their flocks,
Though it was the darkest night,
For they did heed the angel's words
And rushed to see the sight;
There Jesus lay in swaddling clothes,
A manger for his bed,
As the brightest star that ever was
Stood just above his head.
Now others, like the shepherds then,
Abiding in the night
Can still come to the Savior
And share the same sweet light.
