           Peanutty Xmas Bones  

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tbs baking powder
1 cup natural peanut butter
1 cup skim milk

Preheat  oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour and baking powder in bowl.
In another bowl, mix peanut butter and milk. Add wet mixture to dry
and mix well. Turn out dough on lightly floured surface. and knead. 
Roll out to 1/8 inch thick and cut out shapes. Place on greased 
baking sheet and bake 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on
rack and store ion airtight container. Makes 30 large treats.
 










Paws Up Cheese Treats

4  cups whole wheat flour 
 3/4  cups vegetable oil
3 teas garlic powder
2 eggs beaten
1 1/4 cups shredded cheese
1 1/4 cups milk


Combine flour and garlic powder in large bowl. Gradually stir in vegetable
oil, cheese, beaten eggs, milk. Blend well. Roll dough out to desired thickness
Cut out treats and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees
for 25 minutes. Store in airtight container


  
                                     

 

 

Pumpkin-Patch Biscuits

1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tbs brown sugar
1/2 teas ground cinnamon
1/2 teas ground nutmeg
4 tbs butter flavored Crisco
1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1 whole egg
1/2 c. buttermilk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine flour, cinnamon and nutmeg 
and cut in shortening. Beat egg with milk and pumpkin and combine with flour,
mixing well. Stir until dough forms. Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie
sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool thoroughly before serving. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                                   Another Peanut Butter Treat

1 1/4 cup milk 
• 1 1/4 cup peanut butter
• 2 cups whole-wheat flour
• 1 cup all purpose flour
• 1 1/4 tablespoons baking powder
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Mix milk and peanut butter in a large bowl, until smooth.
3. Combine flours and baking powder in a large bowl. 
4. Gradually stir flour mixture into wet ingredients. 
5. Knead dough by hand, adding small amounts of milk to the mixture
    if the consistency is too dry.
6. Roll out dough onto a lightly floured surface to desired thickness
    and cut out treats with cookie cutter of choice.
7. Bake on cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, modifying timing
    to adjust for dough thickness and treat size.
8. After the oven has been turned off, treats can be left to cool and dry
    for several hours before storing.
