Well sweetheart- you were the last of my babies. And now you have gone to the bridge to join the others. On the way home from the vet - it's a country road & the sun was going down & the sky was so pretty. You were laying there beside me on your last ride home. I looked up in the sky and I thought I bet there is a celebration in Heaven tonight.  You were saying hello to you brothers & parents and grandparents. And of course Spud. I bet he was bouncing with joy to see you again. He thought his little cow was coming home. I knew you were a dog but beings he was a Blue Healer he thought you were a little cow. You use to get so irritated at him for constantly washing you & herding you around the yard. I had to laugh. It was so cute. When he died you went into heart failure the first time. I guess you loved him too.

Then later when you brother Mitsu went to the bridge you went into it again. He was your buddy that you romped & played with. Every morning I put you guys out & you & him would race & play .

You scared me several times but you were a fighter just like your grandmommie Cuddles. She was tough & so were you. The last couple years you watched them all leave & go to the bridge. One by one your family left. Til finally there was only Mischif & Panda. Christmas of 2002 Mischif went home & then 3 months later Panda. You started to go down hill from there. You never quit looking for them. And would come to me with that look in your eyes - Where are they? I felt so sorry for you. And when I went to work you would cry cause you didn't want to be alone. So I said I would get you something for company.

I took you to the humane society, pet shops and we looked at kitties, rabbits, ferrets, birds, guinea pigs. But you didn't seem to be interested. I said no we are not getting a dog. I am not ready. But your crying was to much so- I adopted Abby. You too got along right from the start. But as time went on- I felt you too ready didn't care about each other. You slept alot & Abby didn't bother with you much. But when I brought you home from the vets & laid you on the couch. Abby came running over & checked you out. She stayed right there by the couch. We were waiting for the man to come to take you to cremate you & she stayed by your side. I got her supper and called her. She came out & smelled the food & then looked back in at you. She ran in to the couch & keep trying to wake you to tell you supper was ready but of course you didn't respond. She keep trying to wake you & finally she looked at me like she knew you weren't going to eat supper with her tonight. It was so precious. She wanted to make sure you got supper. Then after you left for the crematory- She went in & laid down on my bed. She hasn't gone near the couch since. I guess you two really did care about each other just I didn't see it.

Now she is so lonely & don't want me to leave her. She crys. She whined this morning. She misses you Pebbles and so do I. I have probably called her Pebbles half the time today. I am having trouble dealing with this. You were the last and when you were here I still had a piece of the rest with me. Now you are all gone.

Remember 2 winters ago before Panda left- you would make snow angels out in the snow. I stood and watched you from the doorway. It was so cute. I called you my Snow Angel. This year you didn't do it. You were different this year. I guess you were in mourning for all the others.

Well baby- tell every one I love them and miss them so much. I will always hold you all close in my heart. You took part of my heart with you. Be happy with your family and one day - mommie will see you all again and then we will have a real celebration never to part again but will be together forever.

Pebbles is Mitsu's sister. She has such a
loving personality. She wants alot of
attention. She was Spud's (IN MEMORY)
sidekick. He thought she was a cow and
use to herd her all over the yard. He would
wash her face and hover over her. She use
to get so tired of him. She would come to
me and look like "will you make him leave
me alone." When he died, she was very
depressed. Since then she was diagnosed
with heart failure. I know it's from grief.
She laid by his cage for months. She is on
medication every day & I am hoping for the best,
but she is not doing to good. All
I can do is give her lots of love and pray.

UPDATES:

It is March 2003 and she runs around looking for Panda & is still having problems with Mischif being gone.

Pebbles has a new friend. Her name is Abby and they get along fine. Pebbles is more at ease now that I got another fur baby in the house to keep her company when I am gone.

Pebbles is doing better and looks better since I got Abby for her.
I think Abby reminds her of her buddy Spud.
