Pets and Holidays

Take special care of pets at holidays
There are alot of dangers at
these times of the year.

Valentines

Valentines means Chocolate

But it is for humans only.

Never ever give it to your pet.

July 4th

Fireworks- noise= terrified animals
They become frightened, distraught
and often bolt and run.
There are also dog bites.
Often pets run away and get lost
Scared and alone they may bite someone
who finds them.

It is best to keep a pet indoors at this
time of year.
Play a radio to help drown the fireworks noises.
When you take them out - put them on a leash.

Halloween

This is a "satanic" celebration season.
Devil worshippers use the poor little creatures
for all kinds of rituals.
Black cats & kittens are especially
sought at this time of year.
Keep your pet a close eye as theft
is high at this time also.

Christmas

Turkey dinners. Watch the bones.
They can cause serious trouble for your pet.

Do not over fed them with your big meals.
They are to rich for your pets & can cause vomiting
and diarrhea.

Holiday plants can be poisonous such as
Mistletoe, Poinsettias, Holly, Jerusalem
cherry, Christmas rose, Star of Bethlehem.

Make sure your pet cannot reach the
tinsel, ornaments and ribbons.

Be careful of electrical cords especially
around puppies & kittens.

Chocolate is a definite No No
