Returns-Trade-ins-Throw Aways

In these times, if someone gives you a gift or you buy something and you then decide it's not what you wanted- well you just return it, sell it at a yard sale, give it away or pitch it.

Unfortunately- animals are seen as material items to some and therefore are treated in the same way.

Animals are not material things. Coffee pots, clothes, a centerpiece . These thing do not have feelings. There is no blood running through their veins. So what - take it back - pitch it. But an animal knows, they feel, they are NOT disposable.

Got a new puppy? Adopted a dog from a rescue or shelter? Had a dog for years & now the kids are off to college and you can't be bothered with it? Retired and want freedom to come & go and your pet is tying you down? Fido was cute as a puppy but now he has grown to a 75 lb dog and he's to big- he eats to much- he sheds- he chews when you leave him. Or the kitty claws the furniture- jumps up on the counter.

These are all reasons that some people consider them RETURNS!!!!!!!!!!

They are NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before you get a pet- remember- it is like a child. (Would you return your child? I think Not!!) Be sure it is going to be for a lifetime. Consider all the problems that may arise. Are you willing to take on the responsibility for life of that animal you are about to commit to?? If you are not sure--- Please -- Don't do it.

Whether you are religious or not- Animals are a creation of God- the same as a new born baby. A mother dog gives birth the same a a human mother. They are the same - both living - breathing creations of the higher power. You have No right to dispose of either one of them.

Oh yes I know the law says- well the law is not the always correct and fair. I am sure there are many many laws that you don't agree with. Well this is one.

It doesn't matter what the problem is- it has a better solution than return or throw away.

Obedience school, medicines, doggie day care, and many many more choices. If you have a computer & you do or you wouldn't be reading this- check the internet- search- give it some time- that animal you are about to discard deserves this much from you. And if you are any kind of a decent human being with even half a heart you will give this time to them. If you are not- then you don't deserve to own an animal. Actually you don't own them anyway you are their guardian, their protector & their whole source of life.

When you discard an animal you could be providing it with the most horrible life or death imaginable. Is that fair?? Could you do that to a human? Well you are doing it to a living breathing blood flowing creature given to you from God. You will be the one who has to live with the guilt and answer to what ever comes your way.
